RFAI at CBMI 2026

Event Details

The Equipe RFAI has participated to three intense and inspiring days in Toulouse (France), where the International Conference on Content-based Multimedia Indexing took place from October 21st to 23rd.

Two of our PhD students brilliantly presented their work:
🎤 Hoang Giang Vu presented his work on “Knowledge-Driven Named Entity Recognition in French TV Video Transcripts”, supervised by Mathieu Delalandre, Nathalie Friburger and Arnaud Soulet.
🎤 Hoang Long Nguyen presented his work on “CrossTrans-MFC: An Effective Cross Transformer Approach for Multimedia Fact-Checking”, supervised by FrĂ©dĂ©ric RAYAR, PhD and Nicolas R.

Huge congratulations to both of them for their hard work and excellent presentations! Following their doctoral defenses (planned for 2027 and 2028), both will return to Vietnam to continue their academic and research journey.

Our team’s multimedia analysis focus originally started back in 2022, notably marked by early publications on video copy detection and fact-checking datasets with former Vietnamese PhD student Van-Hao Le, now a lecturer at HDU-FET (Thanh Hoa, Vietnam).

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the organizers and committee members for putting together this event.

CBMI is a key conference for our research group, and we look forward to participating in the next edition CBMI 2027 organized by the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) in Thessaloniki (Greece)!
